This movie didn't do a thing for me. It wasn't as good as I thought it was and it was nothing that I expected it to be. I thought it would have more to it rather than just a simple and innocent fairy tale that you'd see in a child's book of fairy tales. Plus, I was hoping something would come and turn this movie around and add some spice to it, but it didn't happen, so that was disappointing. Little kids would probably enjoy this movie, but I didn't enjoy this movie at all. Big disappointment.

This is my 1st review for any film. This is my favourite film and gets better every time I watch it. A true love story. I drive my family mad by quoting 'Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die' I have lost count of the number of times i have said it. This film makes me smile every time I watch it. I would recommend it to anyone who loves an adventure story and who believes that true loves never dies.

What I love most about this film, other than the obvious) is it's appeal to anyone anywhere. You can speak to someone you have never met, from the other side of the planet, and within five minutes, be quoting this film.
Personally I think they should re-release it. but thats just me.

I watched this movie having heard nothing but good things about it. I know now what everyone has been talking about. The Princess Bride has to be one of the greatest Fairy Tales I've ever seen.
Cary Elwes, the only Robin Hood who can speak with an English accent, played Westley, a cocky Zorro-type hero who is driven by his love for the Princess Bride, Buttercup. Cary Elwes fits the part. He had that cockiness in his voice, yet every word he said was serious.
The story was great. Too bad Fred Savage kept interrupting it.
The fight scenes were some of the greatest I have ever seen without the use of special effects.
If you have not seen this movie, you need to. It truly DOES have something for everybody. Few movies do.
